Registration and Inspection Requirements
- Prior to launching at Ruth Lake all watercraft must be registered, inspected & contain a valid sticker
- When bringing your watercraft to be inspected please make sure your boat is completely CLEANED, DRAINED, AND DRY. (See informative video on how to prepare your boat for inspection… http://www.100thmeridian.org/video.asp)
- Boat owners with trailered boats can have their boat banded upon exiting Ruth Lake. Banded boats will not need to be re-inspected upon their return, provided the tamper-proof band is still intact and in place. (The band is a boat-to-trailer tie.)
- There is a special provision, available only to local, “resident” boats which remain in the immediate vicinity year-round and only launch at Ruth Lake. Such boats must be registered each year, and their owners must sign a sworn affidavit. If these conditions are met, these boats will not require inspection. Please understand this provision will be strictly enforced – any boater found to be in violation will be subject to citations and fines, and will lose privileges to launch at Ruth Lake.
