Day Use Facilities
The District maintains two day use areas on lands adjacent to the Mad River for public access and use. These areas are open during daylight hours and closed at sunset. These areas are referred to as Park 1 which is located on West End Road and Park 4, located on Warren Creek Road. Areas of the Parks are available for group events with specific conditions.
Below is a general description of the day use areas:
Park 1- located on West End Road
- Includes river access, limited parking, picnic tables, horseshoe pits, BBQ, and one unisex restroom.
Park 4 - located on Warren Creek Road
Park #4 and the Disc Golf Course will be closed August 30, 2007 through October 15, 2007 as the Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District assists Humboldt County in their work to rehabilitate fish habitat on Warren Creek.
- Includes river access, limited parking, picnic tables, and one unisex restroom.
- A disc golf course is operated and maintained under an agreement with Par Infinity Disc Golf with certain restrictions.

Other Recreational Facilities
The Ruth Lake Community Services District (RLCSD) provides recreational opportunities at Ruth Lake. For further information, please contact RLCSD at (707) 574-6332.
The U.S. Forest Service operates several campgrounds around Ruth Lake. For further information please visit the following web site - http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/sixrivers/
Board Room Facility
The District’s Board Room is located at 828 Seventh Street, Eureka, California. The Board Room is only available for use by not-for-profit groups and governmental agencies when it is not being used by the District. The Board Room is not available on Friday evenings, weekends or holidays.
