Ruth Lake

Ruth Lake is the District's source of drinking water for over 94,000 customers. The lake has a shoreline of approximately 26 miles and the lenght at the center of the lake is approximately 6 miles. The water travels 75 miles from Ruth Lake to our District facilties in Arcata where it is treated and distributed. The District has a prevention plan in place to help protect Ruth Lake from invasive species such as Quagga Mussels. See link below for information on boat launching requirements, camping, etc.
