Transmission System
The HBMWD operates two separate and distinct pipeline systems to deliver water to its customers throughout the Humboldt Bay region – an industrial water system and a domestic water system.
The domestic water system starts at Korblex and delivers treated drinking water to HBMWD's seven wholesale municipal customers and the 200 retail customers served directly by HBMWD.
The industrial water system starts at Essex and delivers untreated water to wholesale industrial customer(s) on the Samoa Peninsula, located on the west side of Humboldt Bay.
