Wholesale Water Services
The HBMWD supplies treated drinking water on a wholesale basis to seven municipal agencies in the greater Humboldt Bay region. the HBMWD's seven wholesale municipal customers are:
- City of Arcata
- City of Eureka
- City of Blue Lake
- Fieldbrook-Glendale Community Services District (FGCSD)
- Humboldt Community Services District (HCSD)
- Manila Community Services District (MCSD)
- Mckinleyville Community Services District (McKCSD)
HBMWD works very closely with its seven wholesale municipal customers. Our relationship with them is very important. A strong partnership between HBMWD and its municipal customers is necessary to ensure delivery of a reliable supply of safe drinking water for the communities we collectively serve.
HBMWD has the capacity to supply untreated, raw water to customer(s) located on the Samoa Peninsula, west of Humboldt Bay, for industrial purposes. Formerly, the HBMWD supplied raw water to two pulp mills, which for many years contracted with the HBMWD for 60 million gallons per day (mgd) of water (the maximum capability of the HMBWD's industrial pumping and delivery system).
